Pemberton square - 1920. Court House on left.
There is a sign hanging on the right: "26 - William J. Nagel Law Books - West Publishing Co. - Publications". The sign is in the form of a law book, with the binding facing the street.
The Boston Police Headquarters is at the end of the street, on the right side.

This image was also found online, but I can't find the address where it came from, sorry. It is probably earlier than the ones above, as that is a horse carriage in the lower-right.

This image was taken in the same exact location as mine, but a year earlier, and probably the same car. I guess May Day was a rowdy day of celebration back then.

==========
(per en.wikipedia.org)
May Day on May 1 is an ancient northern hemisphere spring festival and usually a public holiday. It is also a traditional spring holiday in many cultures. Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the celebrations that the day includes.

In the late 19th century, May Day was chosen as the date for International Workers' Day by the Socialists and Communists of the Second International to commemorate the Haymarket affair in Chicago. International Workers' Day may also be referred to as "May Day", but it is a different celebration from the traditional May Day.
