Steamship Mayflower

Mayflower-sm
Painted on the bow of the ship:
"N. B. S. Co." (Nantasket Beach Steamship Company)
"Nantasket Beach Line"
"Mayflower"

The main deck has several people sitting in the shadows there, so nothing much to see.
The middle deck is filled with passengers, bow to stern, most wearing suits and of course, hats.
The upper deck is empty. The Captain must be in the pilot house, as the ship is moving.

Looking at the far shore, starting on the left, is a large building with the sign, "Cunard Line". It is just below the tall water tower.

To the right, and just right of the Mayflower's rear mast, is another building with a sign that reads, "Leyland Line", and just above and behind that building there is a large sign that I believe reads, "B. & A. R. R.". (see below)

Next to the right is the big building wiht the signs that read, "New York Central Lines" and on the lower portion, "Boston & Albany Railroad".
I've been looking for this building using Google Earth Pro, but I guess it's gone now. I think it might have been a coal deposit for the railroad, but not sure about that.

There is a 4-masted sail ship to the right of that.

Here is another view I found online, of the Mayflower steaming along:

I found this image at GoogleBooks.com.

This must be an earlier or different "version" of the ship, as this ship is not a center paddlewheeler, the 2 masts are not there, and it looks to be much smaller than the ship in the pictures above.
Notice the shack on the right side of the dock. There are 2 signs on its side. The upper one is definitely a sign from the Clinchfield Coal Company. It reads, "Clinchfield - ...The Coal of Quality...". Here is a similar image I found:
     Clinchfield-coal-02

The white sign below the "Clinchfield" sign to reads, "Piedmont", with another unreadable line below that.
