Side-wheeler Steamboat Mt. Washington - sm

Starting at the stern (on the right), there are 2 men there; an older, bearded man in a black coat and hat, and a heavyset man sitting down, wearing a white hat and grey coat.

Looking to the left, there is a man on the dock directly in front of the letter "L" of the word "Line" on the paddlewheel.

Just forward of him, there are 5 boys, around the ages of 10-15, looking at the 3-foot-high printing on the paddlewheel cover (lunette).

Next to the left, there is a small sailboat (...sloop?) and there are 5 crewmen and I think there is a woman embracing the crewman standing on the dock with his arm up holding his hat.

There is a small crowd forward toward the bow, and it looks like they are waiting to board the ship using the gangplank. There is a light-colored bicycle visible there in the crowd.

Onboard, I can make out the Captain leaning out of the pilot house and looking aft. There are a couple of groups of passengers standing around the pilot house, as well.

There looks to be a family of 4 sitting just aft of the paddlewheel, on the upper deck; husband wearing a dark coat and hat, leaning his arms on the railing, his wife to our right of him, wearing a hat and coat, his daughter to our immediate left of him, leaning against his arm, and his son sitting further to our left, and leaning his arm over the railing and resting his head on that while looking forward.

The Side-wheeler Steamboat Mount Washington was owned by the Boston and Maine R.R. Line.

Here is a pic of the paddlewheel cover:

This elaborately carved lunette adorned the Mt. Washington’s port paddlewheel box. It represents sunset over Mount Washington. (notice the waves).
