Sternwheel Steamboat Ohio

The Ohio looks like it is being used primarily for hauling freight.

The gangplank is hanging from the boom of the forward mast. It is almost completely out over the bow of the ship.

On the main deck, at the bow, a man is standing just forward of 2 rows of barrels on the deck.

On the main deck, there are stacks of crates and barrels just under the middle deck covering.

Between these 2 stacks of freight, 5 or 6 men are standing on the deck.

Just aft of the stack of boxes a man is standing, and I can make out a 2-wheel dolly just behind him.

Next aft, there is a large pile of freight, and it looks like it goes back to below the pilot house. It's hard to make out much in that shadow area.

Directly below the pilot house there is a stack of wooden barrels at the rail.

The freeboard (the height of a ship's side between the waterline and the deck) looks to be about 1 to 2 feet in this area.

I don't see any more freight in this image.

On the middle deck, there are 2 people there. The forward person might be a woman, and the rearward person is a man sitting on the railing with his coat tail hanging over the side.

On the next deck up, at the bow end, you can see a man standing there, facing aft. That might be the Captain.

There might be a couple of people up inside the pilot house.
