This is the stern of the S.S.Yarmouth of the Eastern Steamship Lines, Inc.

"Yarmouth - Portsmouth - N.H." is painted on the stern.

I don't know the name of the deck, but it is covered by the main deck just above it.
At the port (left) side just forward of the stern, you can see 3 men in white. There are actually 6 men standing there at the rail.
Forwardmost, is a man who is wearing a dark suit and tie. His right hand is on the rail, and his left elbow is leaning on it as well. He is looking aft at the man beside him.
The next 3 men look to be wearing white uniforms. The 3rd man aft is wearing an officer's jacket and hat.
There are a couple of men standing at the rail just aft of these men, leaning on the rail.
There are several other figures that are not quite visible standing in the area of the stern.

Just beyond the stern of the ship, there is a "disturbance" in the water. It is that circular light-colored area to the starboard side. That might be the prop-wash from a tug or a tender alongside the ship. (Just guessing here.)

There is a hatch open on the side of the ship, visible in the white-painted stripe, about half-way to the bow.
The railing of the main deck is lined with passengers all the way to the bow.

The stern of the main deck has a canvas cover protecting the passengers there from the sun.
On the railing, there is a sign that reads, "PROPELLER - KEEP CLEAR"
Just forward of this sign, you can see a life-preserver hanging inside the railing. It reads, "S.S. Yarmouth" on the upper portion. I can't make out what is printed on the lower arc of the ring.
Forward of that you can see 2 women wearing white hats leaning on the rail, and just forward of them there seems to be a broken rail with bent ends.
Again, the railing is lined with passengers dressed in "Sunday-Best", enjoying the trip.

Above the main deck is another deck (Sorry, still don't know the different deck names. Haven't found a good reference yet.) that is covered by the top deck. This 2nd deck has 12 lifeboats on each side.
This deck is also loaded with passengers.
The pilot house is at the forward area of this deck, and spans the width of the ship.

The top deck is also crowded with passengers, and also what seems to me to be a lot of air vents. I count about 40 of them!

The smokestack has an "E" on a flag emblem, for the "Eastern S.S. Lines Inc."

There is a "crows nest" on the forward mast in front of the pilot house. It is more evident in this chilly pic from the Leslie Jones: The Camera Man Collection:

Here is the "Yarmouth" in Boston Harbor, as seen from East Boston, also from the Leslie Jones: The Camera Man Collection:
