Norwich & Worcester Railroad Engine #13 Click image to see full-size version.

This image is a scan from a print that I made back around 1980, by making a 4"x5" copy negative from an old original print, because the original negative was not available. I left in the notes that someone had written on the border. They read, "N&W 13  Built '82  N.H 913".   I don't know what the "N.H 913" means, but the rest is obvious. The large piston housing between the 2 forward wheels reads, "Wm. Mason.". This is a map of the Norwich & Worcester Railroad that I found at Connecticut History website There is a nice story about the railroad on the above-mentioned website, with lots of good information.
